Exercise 1: Paragraph 1:
عندما فتح المسلمون بلاد فارس والشام، وجدوا فيهما مكتبات مليئة بالكتب اليونانية،
فتر جمو ها إلى اللغة العربية،
وتعلم المسلمون كثيرا من اللغات الأجنبية مثل:
اليو نانية واللاتينية،
وتر جموا ما فيها من علوم.
درس المسلمون تلك العلوم الت ترجموها، وفهموها،
ثم زادوا عليها العلوم التي عرفوها،
وهي كثيرة
When the Muslims conquered Persia and Syria, they found libraries full of Greek books.
They were translated into Arabic,
Muslims learned many foreign languages such as:
Greek and Latin.
And translated what knowledge was there.
Muslims studied those sciences that they translated, and understood,
then increased the knowledge that they had, and
they were many.
Paragraph 2:
وكان المسلمون عندما يفتحون بلدا، يبنون فيه مسجدا
ومدرسة،
فإذا كان البلد كبيرا، بنوا فيه مدارس كثيرة،
وكانوا يبنون في المدن الكبيرة مثل: القاهرة وبغداد وقرطبة،
الجامعات والمعامل والمراصد والمكتبات.
When they conquered a country, Muslims built a mosque
And a school, if the country is large, they built many schools,
They were built in big cities such as Cairo, Baghdad and Cordoba,
Universities, laboratories, observatories and libraries.
Paragraph 3:
ظهر كثير من العلماء المسلمين، في مختلف العلوم، ففي علم
الكيمياء، ظهر (جابر بن حيان)، وألّف كتُبا كثيرة في هذا
العلم، وقد تُرجمت بعض كتب (جابر) إلى اللغة اللاتينية فى
القرن الثاني عشر الميلادي (السادس الهجري) و (جابر) أوّل
من استعمل (التجربة العلمية) في علم الكيمياء، واخترع (جابر)
أشياء كثيرة فى هذا العله، جعلته من أعظم علماء الكيمياء فى
وقته، وهذا سبب تسميته بـ (أبو الكيمياء) وكانت كتبه تُدرس في جامعات أوربا إلى وقت قريب .

Many Muslim scholars grew prominent, in various sciences
- in Chemistry it was Jaber ibn Hayyan.
He compiled many books in this Science,
and Jaber translated some books into Latin
in the twelfth century AD (the sixth Hijri)
and (Jaber) was the first to
use scientific experiment in chemistry,
and Jaber invented many things in this regard,
this made him one of the greatest chemists of his time,
which is why he was called "Abu al-Keemiya",
and his books were taught at European universities until recently.
