Arabic Text Book 4 Chapter 5



Chapter 5:  Meaning of the Arabic title :
Four Friends

Paragraph 1 page 34:

1.1) The turtle was living with a squirrel and a crow and  a deer in a  forest with many trees ,water and grass.

1.2) They were happy playing together and eating  together and telling tales before going to sleep.

1.3) One day the deer was absent,and late to arrive for lunch.They waited for a long time but it did not arrive.

1.4) Turtle said to Crow: go and explore the fact for us.

1.5) The crow flew and looked here and there, it saw the deer in the hunter's net,trying to get out but was unable(to do so).


Paragraph 2 page 34:

2.1) The crow returned and told the turtle and squirrel about it.

2.2) The three went to save the deer.


2.3) The squirrel cut the net and freed the deer.

2.4) "The hunter came,the deer ran away,the crow flew away,the squirrel hid in the hole.

2.5) So he caught it and tied it with a rope.

2.6) The turtle was walking slowly,the hunter saw it and thought it (the turtle) was the one to cut the net and release the deer." 


Paragraph 3 page 35:

3.1) The three friends met.

3.2) The squirrel told crow" I have an idea".


3.3) You and the deer go to a place from where the hunter can see both of you.


3.4) And there pretend as the deer is injured,could not move, and pretend that you are eating from the deer's meat.


3.5) When the hunter will see both of you,he will hurry toward both of you,to catch the (injured) deer.


3.6) In the meanwhile I will go to the turtle and free the turtle by cutting the ropes with my teeth.


Paragraph 4 page 35:
 

4.1) The deer said:"It’s a great Idea.

4.2) And when the hunter is near the crow will fly away and I will run.

4.3) "The squirrel said to the deer,"Run little by little till the hunter follows you to a far away place.


4.4) And in the meanwhile the turtle can be free and it can hide." 


Paragraph 5 page 35:

5.1) The deer and the crow went to a place from where the hunter could see both of them.

5.2) The hunter hurried toward them to catch the deer.

5.3) The deer started walking little by little and the hunter followed it to catch it.

5.4) At the same time the crow attacked the hunter so that the deer was far from the hunter.

5.5) It went on like this for a long time and the hunter got tired.

5.6) So he returned to the place of the turtle but could not find it.

5.7) He thought he was in the world of troubles (afareet) and took his net and ran out of the forest, and he did not return again.


Paragraph 6 page 35:

6.1) "The four friends were together once again.

6.2) They were happy now for the hunter took away his net and left the forest.

6.3) The turtle said,""Praise to God,we got saved from our enemy because of our dedication and idea".


6.4) "The deer said,""come,let us go to our house and have our food,and sleep to get fresh from our tiredness."

6.5) The crow said,""I will be flying above you to find a place for you."
